From Egg Donor Agencies and Surrogate Programs...
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Donor Network Alliance?
We are an affiliation of
egg donor agencies and surrogacy programs
from around the United States that is offering our collected profiles through a single, Web-based resource.
How does it work?
DNA is powered by a comprehensive online database that allows
egg donor agencies
and surrogate programs to upload profiles of candidates. Intended parents may view these
profiles, with powerful search capabilities to locate those best matching their needs.
Intended parents may submit requests for more information about a particular donor or
surrogate, and this request is sent on to the appropriate program. The program takes
it from there.
How much information will each egg donor profile contain for viewing purposes?
Profiles will contain a basic template for each of your donors, including photographs,
physical traits, whether they've previously donated, etc.
How much information will each surrogate profile contain for viewing purposes?
Profiles will contain a basic template for each of your surrogates, including photographs,
number of children, whether they've previously been a surrogate, etc.
How do programs benefit from this alliance?
This one-stop shop approach is a cost-effective way for programs to gain exposure to far
more prospective clients from around the world than they can gain individually.
Consolidating our profiles in one easily accessed and easily used web location
facilitates the matching process, giving you the potential to do more business with less
effort – without the financial outlay for advertising and marketing.
What does it cost to join?
For a limited time we are offering egg donor agencies and surrogate programs a FREE membership for
a term of nine months. The free membership is in exchange for a sponsored link on your
website to the DNA website.
What does membership include?
It covers your profiles being posted for a nine month term, access to the site that
allows you to enter and upload profiles as often as you have changes, and unlimited access
to the website.
How will the DNA site get recognized?
The founders of DNA have invested in the marketing tools to promote the website itself as well
as the concept that's behind it. Our aim is to build global awareness of DNA, not just with
intended parents, but with the fertility clinics that are a great referring source. Our
marketing efforts will combine with the founders' collective 25-plus years of experience
in the field of reproductive medicine – making us known and credible.
How many egg donors populate the DNA database?
Typically, the mid-sized agency will have between 100 and 200 egg donor candidates
in its database. Currently DNA has over 3,000 donors in its database and we anticipate
that this number will grow significantly over time.
How many gestational surrogates populate the DNA database?
The number of available surrogates will vary greatly from agency to agency.
Currently, DNA is in the process of having its members upload their available surrogates
to the database and expects to have between 25 to 50 available when the surrogacy
database goes live. DNA anticipates that this number will grow significantly over time.
Do Intended Parents have to be clients of a participating agency to subscribe?
No. When Intended Parents identify a donor or surrogate, they will work with her agency.
Their physician's office will be able to coordinate with the selected donor or surrogate
and her agency as well.
