2009-11-03T07:53:38-08:00true13<p>Donor Network Alliance (DNA), the unique Web-based resource that consolidates some 3,000 egg donor profiles from 18 U.S. egg recruitment firms, is opening its use to intended parents at no charge for a limited time.</p><p>CHICAGO (Nov. 3, 2009) – Donor Network Alliance (DNA), the unique Web-based resource that consolidates some 3,000 egg donor profiles from 18 U.S. egg recruitment firms, is opening its use to intended parents at no charge for a limited time.</p>
<p>“No other resource offers as many egg donor profiles in a single location as DNA,” said Nancy Block, of the Center for Egg Options, one of the service’s three partner-owners. “Our database is so easy to use and so extensive. We’re opening the doors to explore.”</p>
<p>The Donor Network Alliance (www.donornetworkalliance.com) database can be sorted by a vast number of parameters, guided by what the parents are looking for in their ideal egg donor. A sampling includes:</p>

<li>Heritage. DNA includes 94 donors of Scandinavian descent, 22 who are Jewish, 18 Pacific Islanders, and 14 East Indians. </li>
<li>Accomplishments. More than 500 are college graduates, 338 are accomplished athletes, and 118 are accomplished singers. </li>
<li>Physical characteristics. Over 1,200 are 5’5” or under, and 239 are 5’9” or over. </li>
<li>Experience. Included are 388 donors who have donated previously.</li>

<p>Users can browse DNA for free for 48 hours. While they can view photos and descriptions of egg donors, they cannot contact any donors’ agencies until they subscribe. Subscription fee is $49 for two weeks.</p>
