Donor Agenicies
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Donor Network Alliance?
We are an affiliation of egg donor agencies from around the United States that is offering our collected egg donor candidate profiles through a single, Web-based resource.
How does it work?
DNA is powered through a comprehensive online database that allows members to upload profiles of egg donor candidates for Intended Parents who have subscribed as users to sort through and view according to a variety of search parameters. Descriptions of each candidate are posted alongside their agency, which are identified by name and location. The agency identifier includes a feature allowing subscribers to e-mail the agency for further information. The agency takes it from there.
How much information will each egg donor profile contain for viewing purposes?
Profiles will contain a basic template for each of your donors, including photographs, physical traits, whether they've previously donated, etc.
How do agencies benefit from this alliance?
This one-stop shop approach is a cost-effective way for agencies to gain exposure to far more prospective clients from around the world than they can gain individually. Consolidating our egg donor profiles in one easily accessed and easily used Web location facilitates the matching process, giving you the potential to do more business with less effort – without the financial outlay for advertising and marketing.
What does it cost to join?
There is a $3,000 annual membership fee, which we're abating to $1,500 for the first year. This fee covers the first 100 donors posted, with a fee of $1,000 for each group of 100 after that. There also are nominal setup fees.
What does membership include?
It covers your donor profiles being posted for a year, a software program that allows you to enter and upload profiles to the site as often as you have qualified applicants, and unlimited access to the Web site.
How will the DNA site get recognized?
The founders of DNA have invested in the marketing tools to promote the Web site itself as well as the concept that's behind it. Our aim is to build global awareness of DNA, not just with intended parents, but with the fertility clinics that are a great referring source. Our marketing efforts will combine with the founders' collective 25-plus years of experience in the field of reproductive medicine – making us known and credible.
Typically, the mid-sized agency will have between100 to 200 egg donor candidates in its database. We anticipate that by the end of our first year of operation, DNA's database will have 10 times those numbers.
Do people have to be clients of a participating agency to subscribe?
No. When you do identify a donor, you will work with her agency. Your physician's office will be able to coordinate with your selected donor and her agency as well.
